Reflecting on our Casey Business Awards win.

Our journey has always been about people first — building meaningful connections, creating inclusive spaces, and supporting every individual to reach their goals.

Winning this award is a reminder of how powerful care and collaboration can be when we work together. A heartfelt thank you to our entire team for representing BHC with pride at the awards night, and to our wider community for your ongoing support.

A note from our directors

Message from our Directors.

As we wrap up 2025, we want to thank our incredible BHC team, clients, and families for another year filled with care, compassion, and community.

This season reminds us how meaningful our work is — every smile, every success, and every small act of kindness makes a difference. Congratulations to everyone recognised this year, especially our Employee of the Month winners and the teams behind our recent Casey Awards achievement.

Wishing you all a joyful Christmas and a bright, healthy New Year. Let's continue to make 2026 a year of growth and gratitude.

BHC Farm — Devon Meadows

New friends at the BHC Farm.

Our BHC Farm in Devon Meadows has been buzzing with excitement as participants welcomed several new animal companions — playful guinea pigs, gentle rabbits, and curious young chicks.

These new arrivals have quickly become favourites among our clients, who have enjoyed petting, holding, and interacting with them during farm visits. The joy and calm that come from spending time with these animals has created beautiful moments of connection.

Aged care updates — Support at Home program
Aged Care update

Aged Care changes at a glance.

The aged care system is changing to improve quality, safety, and person-centred support. Home Care Packages and CHSP will transition into a new Support at Home program — making services simpler and more flexible as care needs change.

The reforms introduce stronger care standards, clearer service agreements, improved transparency, and enhanced staff training requirements.

At Best of Homecare, we are actively preparing for these updates to ensure a smooth transition and continued support for our clients, families, and staff.

New initiative

BHC Values in Action Program.

We are excited to introduce a new way to recognise staff who demonstrate our core values of Accountability, Integrity and Respect in their everyday work. Each month, coordinators will nominate team members for our new value-based badges.

A firm-wide Employee of the Month will also be selected from staff who consistently show all three values — celebrating the great work our team does every day.

BHC Staff Training Lab at head office
New at BHC

Introducing the BHC Staff Training Lab.

We are excited to introduce our new BHC Staff Training Lab, now open at the Best of Homecare Head Office. This dedicated hands-on learning space has been created to help new and existing staff build confidence, learn essential care skills, and practise using key equipment in a safe, supportive environment.

From manual handling to daily living supports, the Training Lab allows our team to experience real-life scenarios before stepping into the field — ensuring every staff member is prepared, capable, and empowered to deliver high-quality care.

If any current team members would like a refresher session or skills update, please reach out — we are always happy to organise a time.
