Support at Home pricing
Clear pricing. No hidden surprises.
Understand your government funding, possible participant contributions and the prices BHC commonly charges for Support at Home services.
How pricing works
Your budget and your service prices are different.
Your Support at Home classification determines the government-funded quarterly budget available for approved services. Ten per cent of that ongoing budget is allocated to care management.
BHC then agrees the price for each service with you before support begins. Any delivery costs such as administration and worker travel are reflected in the agreed service price rather than added as separate fees.
How it works
Your budget and your costs, simply explained.
Support at Home funding is assigned through My Aged Care, then your services and possible contributions are agreed before support begins.
You are assessed
My Aged Care arranges an independent assessment and assigns a classification from 1 to 8 based on your care needs and goals.
Government funds your budget
Your quarterly budget is held by Services Australia. Ten per cent is allocated to care management and the remaining 90% is available for your care services.
You choose your services
BHC agrees a price for each service with you before support begins. All costs are transparent and agreed upfront.
You may contribute a portion
Clinical care is fully government funded. Independence and everyday living services may require a means-assessed participant contribution.
Fully funded
Nursing, physiotherapy, occupational therapy and podiatry are fully government funded at no cost to you.
Means assessed
Personal care, transport and social support may require a means-assessed participant contribution.
Higher contribution range
Cleaning, gardening and meals are based on income and assets.
